Sometimes it’s good to reflect. Sometimes it’s good to dive in and refresh. We were sitting around and discussed a few ways to brighten up a wall in our house and this little project of water that we know, would be a great addition to a certain wall. The following is a workspace for the framed project. It represents, Quintana Roo, Highland Park, East Brady, Destin, Milwaukee, and West Virginia.
Crosby was able to nap at home. Leslie and David joined the Kerr’s for a little outing on the Ohio. Yes a new river, with new sites complete with cheeseball and boat snack service. So since Leslie asked here’s the navigation information on the OHIO. We were pretty much on chart 220-222. Amazing how we covered Neville Island and then some. Each part of the rivers are so different. To think in terms of Neil Gaiman’s American God’s we could […]
If you need a minute to breathe, open this up in your browser and play the video. Just listen and take in the water. After reading about the discharge from Olean into the Allegheny sometimes being on top of the water is the better option. It sounds like Olean is not happy either since they tend to recreate in the river. After the paddle debacle at the Anything that Floats, the new ones are a little lighter. Slow river traffic […]
Uncle Tom came to Pittsburgh and we made it out to golf before the storms rolled in this afternoon. For the record Sir Thomas did birdie number 17. About number 5: Drive it down the middle then cut your second shot down on the right hillside. Don’t be afraid of the slope to the stream. And regarding somebody’s birthday who coincides with Avery’s gotcha day. Happy Gotcha day Avery.
We decided to schedule a little fun this week, since the real world needs moments of uncontrollable laughter. There is just something about the topography playing a part in the Thunderbolt and Phantom’s Revenge. Some of us like things that go round and round and round. Bayern Curve, Wave Swinger, Swingshot, you name it we tried it all before lunch. The old merry-go-round really hasn’t change much. And the outdoor Whip still has some whip to it. Upon completing all this excitement […]
Hello on behalf of our family I would like to welcome you here tonight — Why a celebration of life? — Because Fran has shown everyone of us, how to live with gratitude, humility, kindness and generosity. The stories, pictures and notes that you’ve shared have been very heartwarming and inspired this little party. However in talking this idea through it seemed appropriate that, we first should give thanks, the way Fran would, since she lived her faith everyday. Dear […]

The fun part about house cleaning is you just don’t know what you will find or where you will find it. In getting back to reviewing some family, friends, work and hospital history the photo’s are definitely memorable. Here’s a look back over the years. Click on the photo to see the whole picture.
At least that’s what Reba was doing on Sunday. This clock thing changing has feeding time, sunrise and the walk all mixed up. The snow is melting and the temps are slowly getting warmer. Rumor has it once all the snow melts the snowman will be put into storage until next Christmas. For now he will be decorated for the season as it looks like we will still have freezing temps for one more week. So much for what the […]
