The backyard is starting to take off as Crosby has been lingering on the back porch. She reminded me this morning that even up to her last day Reba kept nurturing the rose bush. Thanks for taking care of me this winter Reba. By the way Elle is still peeing on your old beds. Hope you and Dakota are swimming, sniffing and running.
As us old dogs get older we need to eat more meals, more often, just in smaller quantities. We also try to steal our sisters food if we are not watched. Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Step 4 for Crosby to slow her down. Step 5: Serve and protect Watch out for the ball. Crosby needs to drop some weight. Our activity level has dropped so her eating her sisters bowl has not helped.
At least that’s what Reba was doing on Sunday. This clock thing changing has feeding time, sunrise and the walk all mixed up. The snow is melting and the temps are slowly getting warmer. Rumor has it once all the snow melts the snowman will be put into storage until next Christmas. For now he will be decorated for the season as it looks like we will still have freezing temps for one more week. So much for what the […]
Yes it is that cold in Pittsburgh. Yes we had this same cold in Oak Creek when we lived there. The official rule for today is no walk outside. When we roam our back yard we are on a 5 minute. Even if we try to water the plastic lawn, it pretty much freezes as soon as it leaves us. Luckily we did have a nice much warmer walk around Highland Park the other day so our sniffers were able […]
Crosby really misses Elle at 9 pm! Since Elle left after Christmas, Crosby has started to whine for her 9pm cookie every night. Curse that Elle milk bone ritual. It’s not like she hasn’t been getting her daily walks and quality yummies with her meals, however the tumeric is not her fave. There is something magical about 45 degree days in January that allow for laying out on the deck and grilling on the grill for dinner. Let’s just say […]
Reba and Crosby are very grateful dogs. They have a great house or maybe they should make it plural. They were happy with the river, Charleroi, A-wall, little Boston, Canal Winchester, Upper Arlington, Monongahela or Destin. As long as they had beds and belly rubs they were good to go, rolling with the punches in 2018. Something about the magical fibers emitted in the fur.
Guess who was given the job to wait up for Santa and guard the cookies? For the second straight year Reba fell asleep on the job. This grateful dog is very thankful for all of her experiences in 2018. Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanza! Belated Happy Hanukkah!
