We have a bunny and little birds. It’s really awesome to see them enjoying the growth through our plastic backyard. The ways the birds and rabbit coexist is really a sweet site, if only they knew how dangerous Crosby can make the back yard. The funny thing is now that we are not trying to grow grass we are actually doing a better job of growing it that we did the last time on 5th Street. Here’s a few little […]
Looking back to the last time we tried to watch whales, we had a lot of dolphins, but a great Pacific sunset. This time we’re looking to see them in Canada. Bay of Fundy Whales How close can we get? So why did they arrive so early in 2018? More details on the Bay of Fundy https://vimeo.com/132691245
The water was really nice this past weekend, the wind was even more amazing as it was pushing us up river. Leslie is lucky as the little camera was left behind so she wasn’t captured digitally. We did try the Rivers Edge. The had a Really nice menu and a deck to see the river.
After finishing the morning dog walk/SUP I was greeted by a text asking what would you recommend for a home exercise bike? Funny question since we recently made that decision. Since I’m a big Tim Ferriss listener and a former spin class junkie, I do tend to find instructor driven stationary biking to be much better for my mind and HIIT than the standard Precor, Lifefitness, Matrix recumbent or upright bike. I still bust out my old as it likely […]
Hmm first there was 120, then there was S. Ashley, then 118, and now 814 and 812. I really should have gone to school to be a general. The timing of things is starting to be a challenge, however it’s just another reason to breathe, believe and embrace each day a little more. Things are happening, just a little slower than I’d like. I’m glad this supervisor sleeps on the job, Reba never would have let it go this slowly. […]
Uncle Tom came to Pittsburgh and we made it out to golf before the storms rolled in this afternoon. For the record Sir Thomas did birdie number 17. About number 5: Drive it down the middle then cut your second shot down on the right hillside. Don’t be afraid of the slope to the stream. And regarding somebody’s birthday who coincides with Avery’s gotcha day. Happy Gotcha day Avery.
If the Regatta in Pittsburgh has you bummed, especially after East Brady’s Riverfest and the Anything that Floats event, don’t fear Monongahela will be here to keep summer rolling. August 11. I guess with all the excitement going on this summer, I must have missed this in the PG. https://www.post-gazette.com/life/food/2019/07/17/Guinness-World-Record-largest-wedding-cookie-table-monongahela-250-celebration/stories/201907100122 If only Reba was still alive she’d be attending this event and sampling every table. I’m curious if a certain gym chain was going to sponsor this event, since it […]
Prior to today Lindsey had completed in zero Anything that Floats Races. In today’s anything that floats race we came to entertain. While we started off kicking strong our plan of attack was not the best. We kicked and then we tried to paddle.
We decided to schedule a little fun this week, since the real world needs moments of uncontrollable laughter. There is just something about the topography playing a part in the Thunderbolt and Phantom’s Revenge. Some of us like things that go round and round and round. Bayern Curve, Wave Swinger, Swingshot, you name it we tried it all before lunch. The old merry-go-round really hasn’t change much. And the outdoor Whip still has some whip to it. Upon completing all this excitement […]
