OK so the 2010 Focus was given an early death thanks to a distracted driver on the Highland Park Bridge. The lats, delts and AC joint have had lots of fun since then thanks to the speed of the collision. Life has been full of fun, so we’ve put car shopping on hold. Step one is research. Since Ford is moving away from the silver Focus model, it may be time to thing outside of the blue oval. Thanks to […]
When the girls go away, the storms came to play. Pittsburgh became Tulsa, minus the tornadoes however Indiana, PA turned into Indiana the state a few times this past week. Route 28 turned into a swimming pool at the 31st Street Bridge and the City of Pittsburgh Swift Water Rescue went to work on Wednesday’s rush hour. Meanwhile on the Dog Front, the Elle and Ms. Crosby tried their best to nap through the storms with the help of doggy […]
OK, I know some of you wonder what us referee people do as part of our pre-game talk, especially if you’ve worked with your team before and know that the soccer IQ of the crew the best that it can get in Western PA. Last week we talked about the PA Dept. of Revenue and how they tax estates or should we say how they tax beneficiaries. Over this weekend we were discussing amazing spots on the Allegheny River from […]
There is always music going on in the Music City. We just happened to stock Carl Wockner, DMB, and Jade Million. Between Cerveza Jacks, Acme Feed & Seed and our hotel we kept running into the same people. Carl’s a looper with his own releases: https://youtu.be/2Gcb5hpOUUk Or check out his next gig. Jade was spotted from the street with her great green hair. Check out her ESCALATORS here. Or see more of her hair here. And DMB was just DMB. […]
So there is a whole lot going on in Nashville right now. Building, building everywhere . . . West Nashville is going through that transformation where it’s now affordable for those priced out of the city. Then East Nashville is also going through that thing. . . From downtown the crane count was 15 in all directions and that was on a cloudy weekend. We fell for Project 615 when Tim Shaw did the Live for Today t-shirt, so checking […]
Biscuits and Gravy, Biscuits into a Blueberry French Toast, Sweet’n Savory Bacon, Hand crafted mugs and a stroll to the Gulch only mean Biscuit Love. Yes it is a tourist breakfast stop and if you wait til 9 am you will be lined up outside on the street corner. The Gulch is changing and becoming a whole lot hmmm. mmm not sure how to nicely say what it is becoming with out saying it’s not very diverse. The train station […]
There is something about being in the bachelorette party capital of the south on a Saturday. Everywhere you go there are party busses, pedal carts and woo girls. You may also run into a Carl Wockner, Jade Million or a few warehouse members that stumble into Acme Feed and Seed. If you like Las Vegas on NYC, Nashville has that same vibe, just only a few blocks instead of the strip or all of Manhattan. If you stroll just right […]
The severe weather from earlier this week, known as thunderstorms with tornadoes has turned to water everywhere. Thanks again to all who helped in anyway with getting this crazy project underway over in the Monongahela Valley. Preliminary results had a few good finds.
The backyard is starting to take off as Crosby has been lingering on the back porch. She reminded me this morning that even up to her last day Reba kept nurturing the rose bush. Thanks for taking care of me this winter Reba. By the way Elle is still peeing on your old beds. Hope you and Dakota are swimming, sniffing and running.
The fun part about house cleaning is you just don’t know what you will find or where you will find it. In getting back to reviewing some family, friends, work and hospital history the photo’s are definitely memorable. Here’s a look back over the years. Click on the photo to see the whole picture.
In cleaning out my spam folder this morning I found a scorecard from a recent round of golf. Let’s just say sand, water, wetlands and golfballs don’t mix for some golfers, especially this casual one. If only the ball were bigger and it could be kicked, punted, thrown. . . Some people take towels and a chair to play in the sand, but it can be a little more fun with a wedge. Why does one who is not going […]
