In the spirit of cleaning up my drafts this was started in the winter of 2019, shortly after realizing Reba was struggling physically. She was our rock for the past few years with her little eyes waking me up every morning before the sun would come up. Every time I log on in the morning I see those eyes looking back at me. In going to the river since Reba has passed it’s not quite the same without being pulled […]
In the theme of cleaning up and catching up with life as the 2019 summer winds down, here’s another thought I had that never was published. In looking back over the last three years there have been quite a few of us caught in the housing trap: moving buying selling preparing to sell financing or refinancing thinking of downsizing simplifying I’m guessing this thought started around the time Linds and Chris were house hunting, then would have also applied to […]
What else to do on a Boxing Day? I obviously have had too many things pop up over the past few years. I was going through my posts’ that were never published and found this little gem. It appears to have been started back in December of 2017. If only I could remember the where or why behind this little data gathering project. The funny thing is since then we’ve replaced seals on a few different toilets after this little […]
OK so the 2010 Focus was given an early death thanks to a distracted driver on the Highland Park Bridge. The lats, delts and AC joint have had lots of fun since then thanks to the speed of the collision. Life has been full of fun, so we’ve put car shopping on hold. Step one is research. Since Ford is moving away from the silver Focus model, it may be time to thing outside of the blue oval. Thanks to […]
At least that’s what Reba was doing on Sunday. This clock thing changing has feeding time, sunrise and the walk all mixed up. The snow is melting and the temps are slowly getting warmer. Rumor has it once all the snow melts the snowman will be put into storage until next Christmas. For now he will be decorated for the season as it looks like we will still have freezing temps for one more week. So much for what the […]
Welcome to March 1! Here in Pittsburgh there’s this white stuff on the ground and it’s not sand, like in Destin. Instead of posting a snow picture, let us reflect on sunny days. Now since we are old dog’s playing in the snow is a whole lot different than our younger days.
A note about travel. When you go to Milwaukee you need to eat. What do you need to eat? Fish Fry? Brunch? Brisket Burgers? Cheese Curds? Where should you go? Engine Co. No. 3? Palomino? Lakefront Brewery? Steny’s? Hawthorne Coffee? UpDown on Brady? Looking for some wow? Check out the size of the Miller Brewery by taking the tour. Even if you prefer micros over macros, the size of the operation is amazing. Thanks for the love Chris and Linds!
If Noah builds it again we want to go to happy puppy land. The Elle cam still showed the road this afternoon. We also are thinking that Destin would be much better today. Or the little Boston trail may be under water. So here’s to couch days.
The early spring is leaving PA again. We were forced to wear our straight jackets on our afternoon walk as the winds were whipping through the wall. Garbage cans were all over the alleys, our tree in front of the house had a nice little bend and our snowman is getting lit up again tonight since the temps are back in snowman range. We are counting on the groundhog.
Yes it is that cold in Pittsburgh. Yes we had this same cold in Oak Creek when we lived there. The official rule for today is no walk outside. When we roam our back yard we are on a 5 minute. Even if we try to water the plastic lawn, it pretty much freezes as soon as it leaves us. Luckily we did have a nice much warmer walk around Highland Park the other day so our sniffers were able […]
