To get through life, we all need to ask for help — here’s how NOT to do it https://ideas.ted.com/we-all-need-to-ask-for-help-to-get-through-life-heres-how-not-to-do-it/ — Read on ideas.ted.com/we-all-need-to-ask-for-help-to-get-through-life-heres-how-not-to-do-it/ On this Boxing Day let’s reflect upon those times when we had a little too much on our plates.
There were many years where Monday would be leg day: Squats, presses, leg extensions, lying leg curls, walking lunges. All those hard core bodybuilding workout items. Tuesday would be the big chest day to get full utilization of the decline, incline and flat benches. Never did I ever think going to PF and having only smith machines, matrix and hammer strength machines would be enough. Then life decided to change things up for me and being able to find a […]
I’ve been a little behind schedule in keeping up with podcasts lately. It’s been a while since I heard this one from Serial and the fact that it focused on Cleveland’s courthouse peaked my interest. I’m wondering if they are right that Cleveland is no different than anywhere else in the United States. https://serialpodcast.org/season-three/art Other than keeping up with the task list, writing posts hasn’t been happening lately. Getting close to race day so the trailing will begin to taper.
Sometimes when you live close to the water creatures find there way indoors. One seven footer even found its way into the basement today. Let’s just say we’ve added a grabber to our amazon list. Our snake actually was pretty smart since it ended up getting upgraded tonriverfront property. Thanks to Dan, Daniel, Jeremy, Amy, Ed, Ginnie and Jake for assisting with our little removal project. Let’s just say it was a real neighborhood building event.
The water was really nice this past weekend, the wind was even more amazing as it was pushing us up river. Leslie is lucky as the little camera was left behind so she wasn’t captured digitally. We did try the Rivers Edge. The had a Really nice menu and a deck to see the river.
Prior to today Lindsey had completed in zero Anything that Floats Races. In today’s anything that floats race we came to entertain. While we started off kicking strong our plan of attack was not the best. We kicked and then we tried to paddle.
The backyard is starting to take off as Crosby has been lingering on the back porch. She reminded me this morning that even up to her last day Reba kept nurturing the rose bush. Thanks for taking care of me this winter Reba. By the way Elle is still peeing on your old beds. Hope you and Dakota are swimming, sniffing and running.
Guess who was given the job to wait up for Santa and guard the cookies? For the second straight year Reba fell asleep on the job. This grateful dog is very thankful for all of her experiences in 2018. Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanza! Belated Happy Hanukkah!
Today’s workout was a trail day. Brady’s Bend Seybertown Road to the Redbank Trail just past where the boats usually anchor to party. The trail commission has improved their signage and definitely make somebody line up for a new bike because a 9.5 mph pace is unacceptable.
Thank you dog lovers who came to this country and set us free. Thank you for allowing us to take great walks in this awesome city park. Thank you people all over the park this morning that said hello and walked around us as we were smelling summer. Now- heat and humidity: we would like to get back to our two walks a day. Please go away! Oh and Fireworks, we could do without you. We’re tired of wearing our […]
