Take me back to 1997.
Take me back to when the Strip District of Pittsburgh, PA was full of old warehouse. One side of Smallman Street held the Terminal Building where during the early morning and day produce and perishables were moved to the region. Down the road was the giant frozen storage building for the entire city. On the other side of Smallman was an industrial space for small concerts called METROPOL. During my younger days, I would see Chumbawamba, Brownie Mary, Sugar Ray, The Clarks, Reel Big Fish, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Flogging Molly, Disturbed, Stabbing Westward and many other artists. I also saw a group from the UK named Radiohead one summer night in 1997.
As I wait for Phoebe to find her comfortable sleepy zone for this afternoons road trip home, I wanted to take this moment to escape in music.
If you are planning to go to Mexico, remember they are not being as nice in customs as they were in Janauary 2025. Do not take your laptop and iPad unless you want to pay an import tax. Go for vacation.
Peace and love.
