Greetings all,
As we get older we need to make sure we continue to sleep, eat, work, exercise, rest and repeat. Along the way we need to make time for our regularly scheduled checkups and specialty checkups at certain mileage. In the past year, I’ve been hitting that mileage and have been seeing the specialists as prescribed.
skin cancer
The sun is amazing. It powers up cities. It makes vegetation grow, it even regulates our body rhythms. It also can create damage to our skin. Thanks to my better half, I’ve found a new dermatologist and had my new patient total body screening. I’m now on the every 24 month list.
osteo arthritis/ortho
After suffering an ACL tear and reconstruction during my college playing days, I’ve realized I need to take good care of my body and my problem joints. In getting a little older and trying to maintain my athletic standard, I had to find a new ortho who pulled all of my previous surgical records into my chart. We are now on an every 18 month schedule or as needed to keep the impact of my OA at bay.
Colonoscopy
Apologies for being radio silent the past few days, but it was preventative screening time for me, so Mr. Crabby Pants was around as I prepared for my Prep day before procedures.
Everything was clockwork today in Pittsburgh. Report time was 7 am. Procedure time was 8 am. We were headed home by 10 am.
Los Ojos
Annual eye exams keep us seeing 20/20 and also help keep an eye on other diseases that can impact vision. After spending a few days in Morgantown with Stan we need to make sure our body systems are in check and our eyes don’t show signs of other diseases.
Los dientes
Due to my previous drill and fill procedures, I’ve been under the watchful eye of my current dentist to ensure no new cavities are forming.
What did I miss?
