In order to make the NHL playoffs the past few years, the magic number has been 100 points.

Watching this years team has been very exciting, but seeing results flip during the last period of the game has been challenging.

There are amazing players on this team, some that now take on roles that they haven’t been accustomed to playing. After 50 games, I was hoping everybody could figure it out and focus on playing simple and a 200 ft game just like their captain.

The league is much younger and faster that this current roster, but finding roles for the right players and their skill level has allowed this team to battle through the first 53 games. There is no longer just one power play unit, there is now a second one that provides a change up to number one.

What else would you like to see? I’m a firm believer that we traded our current youth to get that last cup.
