Where does Mary Mother of the Church exist?
Physically it doesn’t. The answer is as a charitable trust.

Why does this matter to me? Understanding this process is key to finding holdups that may happen in my current role. In a bigger picture it is key to understanding why some of the Pennsylvania Diocese being sued for protecting the abuse for so long are filing for bankruptcy. Trying to unveil the layers of organizational structure is not easy especially when the people that should know are trained not to be forthcoming.

Next step is to petition the court for a beneficiary name change to align with this charitable trust. If you currently belong to the St. Andrew the Apostle parish in the mid-Monongahela valley the Charleroi church is still St. Jeromes Roman Catholic Parish there is no physically registered Mary Mother of the Church.
All entities listed in the Official Catholic Directory are conferred their non-profit organization status, designated as a 501 (c) (3) corporation by the Internal Revenue Service. This ruling is issued annually as a group tax exemption for all organizations listed in the current Official Catholic Directory, so each entity does not need to file their information with the IRS.
So people of Monongahela if you are looking for your church site, Washington County Pennsylvania still recognizes . . .
