We’ve been doing this pantsless running thing since we were back in Milwaukee. This year, Pittsburgh Cupid is hopefully going to happen in person on 19 February 2022 at McFadden’s. Gratefully team #RileysRiverRats will be headed up by RiverRat Sarah. The time has come for Pantsless Pankiewicz to pass the briefs to a new leader. The Race Directors are definitely having their undies in a bunch right now due to the Department of Pittsburgh Bridges and Pittsburgh Permitting. The Clemente Bridge that has been the backdrop of many runs, bootay shakes and even a marriage proposal during the run will be closed for restoration.

If you’ve never done the run or wanted to try it, you can still sign up and be a Riley’s River RAT.

If running, walking, wearing undies in public or dancing with pantsless fundraising friends isn’t your thing then think about sponsoring one of our team members for this years run.

If you are running with us be on the lookout for emails from Pittsburgh Cupid, Pittsburgh Race Directors or our team leader Sarah. Usually during this week messages come out regarding: packet pick up, wrist-band registration, additional items for order (swag, city t-shirts, beanies, etc.), when to arrive for the event, how to get your VIP, and whatever else possibly could be communicated by email.

NF is a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and may lead to blindness, deafness, bone abnormalities, disfigurement, learning disabilities, disabling pain, and cancer. NF affects 1 in every 3,000 births across all populations, ethnicities, and genders equally. There is no cure yet, but a number of promising NF clinical trials are under way. As researchers continue to learn more about the underlying causes of NF and what makes tumors grow, we get closer to the development of effective treatments.

Cupid’s Undie Run was started to help a friend’s little brother who was fighting neurofibromatosis, so we’re going to keep fundraising our pants off and raising funds and awareness for the Children’s Tumor Foundation until we find a cure!

The Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) and Cupid’s Charity are both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. CTF prides itself on its 4-Star Charity Navigator rating, spending over 80% of its revenue on programs and research. The Children’s Tumor Foundation was established in 1978 as the first grassroots organization dedicated to finding treatments for NF. Today, CTF is a highly recognized, national, non-profit foundation, and a model for innovative research endeavors.

Cupid’s Undie Run is a fundraising event with 100% of the net proceeds benefitting the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF), a 4-star rated charity, and the world’s leader in NF research.
