Culture for today’s football game.

OK so the World Football Tournament has come and gone from Canada/United States/Mexico (CUM). The debate about the halftime show? Yes musical artists from around the globe putting on an American Football NFL style event created concerns for traditional football people. The diversity of the entertainers gained criticism from the current POTUS. Ultimately a big show like this in New York City (or more correctly New Jersey) raises the question “What music makes football memorable?”

Name a Shakira song that reminds you of a global football event?

This is a video compilation that tells stories about places, people, and football songs.

The official 2026 Global Football Event song.

The only song I can think about after the current administration scored it’s biggest own goal and went to war.

In Pittsburgh, it’s the 4th Quarter, what do you sing to fire up the Steelers DeeFence?

Can singing in a stadium make the world a better place? Or do we need to question the history that we’ve been taught? Who was Christopher Columbus? Should we really celebrate him or the Indigenous People?

Or can music make us look and say WTF? This cover by Stephen Wilson Jr. or the epic song by John Mellencamp discussing the changes of the times in the USA.

Is this techno or a tool advertisement? Ok so this may not be the original music video, but it is the more epic version.

I guess the real answer is we all need to get out in nature-sing, dance, play music, play football. Get off our screens and off our couches.
