Happy Memorial Day, we are watching the flag sink.
Reba and Crosby went out to see if they could lend a paw to anybody with dock or boat issues. Last nights rain will likely lead to the flag being covered by the mighty Allegheny River by the end of the day.
If you were planning to boat around Brady’s Bend this weekend and forgot to get your boat out last night this morning was really interesting as the river continued to rise with last night’s rain.
In walking around town the other day we heard a few barks that FEMA may be interested in dredging the river again as the floodplains have begun to change since the Army Corp has stopped supporting the river navigation since the transportation in the region has gone to truck over river or rail. The other concern is that if the water level changes too much the infrastructure for several water supplies would be impacted.
Interesting when you realize how large this watershed really is!

No swimming for Reba. Glad you didn’t have to deal with the boats.
