Today, July 5, 2026 the U and the M still have to play their Sweet 16 games. The C in the tournament, the great nation of Canada was eliminated 3-0 by Morocco in Houston, TX.
Only in North America could we host such a grand event without building one new stadium. Think about it 104 games in just over 1 month, across 4 time zones and three neighboring countries. Representatives from 48 different football federations (The UK- sent Scotland and England) playing a 3 game first round before, June/July Madness happend with a round of 32. This is the first time 3 countries hosted this event. This is also the first time our neighbors to the north advanced to the Sweet 16.
