After nearly 30 years in business in Destin, Hooters has closed its doors.
My favorite family friendly restaurant is closed at this time in Destin. In real estate terms LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION means everything on HWY 98. For now we say goodbye to Hooters of Destin, FL. Until it is relocated by corporate we must wait for our next strip cheese sandwich with curly fries-and a side of cheese. The word on the street was the cost of the location made it impossible to turn a profit selling wings, beer and burgers. When they first opened in Destin there wasn’t a traffic or housing problem.
If you have never been to Hooter’s it was first a family friendly restaurant. What kid doesn’t love curly fries and chicken tenders with hot sauce. If you were lucky enough to go their for your birthday the staff would sing a special song and strategically place two balloons inside your shirt.
