Come with me as I spend Christmas with @sasquatchgolfadventures on the Gulf Coast Panhandle of Florida. @sasquatchgolfadventures currently lives in the midwest and spent his last Thanksgiving holiday playing and staying in Bandon, OR. He may be golf boujee, but his palate is LOCAL. Even before that Kennedy guy became whatever he is–@sasquatchgolfadventures was ahead of the food contamination problem. Ryan was already on the grass-fed beef, free-range poultry and locally caught creatures of the water plan before that whakadoodle became certified by el Presidente.
Round 1– Pensacola CC
No this course DOES NOT have chicken salad in a cup. They do have a very good tuna poke bowl and grouper in their grill. The course was very member friendly. The fairways were in great winter shape. The rough was cut so balls could be found if you couldn’t hit your target. The pace of play for a holiday week was right at 4 hours and you may find a PGA Tour Pro on this course.

Round 2– Regatta Bay GC
This was our fastest round of the holiday. We had the first tee time and the starter let the local go by himself instead of making us pair up. We had to play the course a little shorter than @sasquatchgolfadventures would prefer. This was due to the fog that never lifted. Balls were not bouncing on the fairways, but the greens were extremely fast. Somebody even got to ring the birdie bell on 18.

Round III— Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club
This is by far my favorite walkable course between Pensacola and Panama City. The rough at this course is sand and shrubbery. You get a peekaboo look at 30A and the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, it’s still the Gulf of Mexico unless your device thinks you are in the US, since Google uploads names of places based on US Govt. Databases. The greens were very fair. The vibe is always chill.
Unfortunately we played on a day where it was cart path only. This made for a longer round than we’d prefer. Our senior golfer had to do more right angle walks than he enjoys. We hit 18 right as the sun was setting so the pictures were fabulous.

We had our favorite senior golfer with us.
Round 4–The Third
As in the 3rd course built as part of St. Joe Corporations– Watersound development.
As in the Davis Love III who’s firm designed the course.
As in the course that has mini-weenies and chicken sliders at the shack on the turn.
