Snow days, cold weather and staying hydrated

Let’s start with some fun. After getting over four inches of lake effect snow yesterday Crawford and Phoebe were ready for a riverfront trail walk and some running in the park. All kids like snow days. Even four legged kids.

Enjoy the slow motion it’s almost three minutes.

How does one stay in shape when your city is in the single digits? You keep your dog walks to only one square or 10 minutes. You do peloton and place to work on focusing your dogs’ attention instead of exercising their bodies. This was really key after a weekend of futsal on hardwood courts I needed some active recovery on the gym, on the rower and on the spin bike. Moving indoors even on cushioned hardwoods is not as easy on the joints as infilled turf or natural grass.

  • Move daily
  • Layer up in Cold weather
  • Stay hydrated
