Roots Run Deep Winery on our way to the global football tournament.

It’s time to share what we learned about California wines on our trip to go see the game between Austria and Jordan. I was asked to find smaller wineries that we typically don’t get delivered into the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with our large Wine and Spirits stores. The exercise was slightly challenging but it allowed me to focus on quality experiences instead of large format quantity consumption. I also did the calculation of how much wine we typically share with friends and families and realized it was time to join a wine club.

We took a little trip to downtown Napa and visited the tasting room to meet with Samantha and taste our way through higher education and chemistry. The marketing piece really caught our attention. The wine made us realize going to the state store in the commonwealth limits our ability to truly appreciate Napa Valley Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cab Sauv.

We had an amazing tasting with the following wines:

I have notes and will share upon request. However we decided to purchase some of the Educated Guess Chardonnay and the eg Red Blend for our house guests this summer.

If you would like to experience one of the Roots Run Deep wines you can shop directly on their site or possibly find some of the Educated Guess wines in the Commonwealth’s Wine and Spirit shops. If you order directly from Roots Run Deep, please tell Sam we sent you.

On our walk to Roots Run Deep from Oxbow Market we realized how open and awesome Napa is during Pride Month. We also found a family cellar that may be of interest to some of our family.
