Some facts that matter…

After the morning HIIT Ride with Peloton and the normal coaching call where we discussed WHACKADOODLE scenarios over the next six months, today’s goal is to continue taking it one day at a time. Listening to all the newscasts talking about a NEW NORMAL, really is irony for me after the past few years we have lived through. As the beginning of the musical “Dear Evan Hansen”, Today is going to be a good Day.

Let’s plan to get outside in NATURE and follow the social distancing guidelines. If your beach is overrun by spring breakers, go find some water away from them. Rub bellies and park walks up the hilly trails are being planned by Crosby for when it warms up in Pittsburgh. If you haven’t had practice at creating a new normal and thinking outside the box feel free to drop Crosby a line. If you need anything from a grocery please also let her know as she’s been squirreling away stewed rabbit for a while.

If you would like to do something while you are at home, the local food banks are looking for donations.

OK, so today’s topic is one that we started talking about in our house last week. Now CBS This Morning ran scenarios of the hospital demand if Covid-19 runs through the country over 6-months. Numbers that matter during a time where we are all being told to shelter in place or work from home. Hopefully this will help make a little sense out of the “flatten the curve” discussion. As we are testing in more places now the number of positive cases will continue to grow.

What does this mean of the US? Or should the better question be what does this mean for the world. Take a breath and take it one day at a time.
