When in the Raleigh-Durham area there are plenty of places to drink and eat. The more I search the more the drink scene appears to be going crazy.
Flying in on SWA I noticed the following hot places on their city guide:
The Pit
Turns out we hit up The Pit with G & W when in town back in October. However it’s definitely a favorite, so we hit it again. This time with an attempt at chopped turkey, pulled pork and brisket served with a side of the fried okra, black-eyed peas, and greens. Valet parking makes it all the better.
Poole’s Downtown Diner
Bull Durham Beer
Yes, they brew beer in the ballpark! And they have a novelty fill line that give’s you a take home souvenir. It even appears that they are fermenting in outdoor tanks right behind home plate.

Bond Brother’s Brewing
Even in downtown Cary there is a little brew location. Take a look at how they brought their brewery to life.

With all these new places to drink and drink it’s a wonder we don’t decide to repeat prohibition.
