Friends and family– as we approach the unofficial start to summer holiday next week here in the United States, we begin to think summer sun, fun, baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and electric F-150’s.

The holiday really is about the sacrifice previous generations made. . . in World Wars and on Black Wall Street. After visiting Ryan when he was living in Tulsa it was an eye opening experience to learn that almost 100 years ago in the United States of America, a war on it’s own residents took place and it never made it into the US history books.

Over the next seven days, I challenge you to keep a daily journal of 3 things.

  1. Gratitude- One thing you are grateful for on this day.
  2. Saditude- What was your lowest point of the day?
  3. Happitude- What was that happy, happy highlight?

Write it down somewhere so you can reflect back on these later this summer. Share it with the people in your life. Take a picture as it is, not properly posed. Let your hair down and be real.

Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok and YouTube only usually show awesome, let this journaling exercise make it acceptable to share the uncertainty, fear and struggles of life.

Feel free to share with me in the comments once completed and on your own social media.
