I have voted and Allegheny County has acknowledged receipt of my ballot. The counting is not allowed to start yet.

91 and voting early, safely in person last week.

Don’t think of Election Day and Election Night as the actual result night. Plan for the vote counting and results to take at least 7-14 days. Don’t worry if we don’t know who the next President will be on November 4, 2020. It’s very fitting with the rest of 2020.

I’m not trying to make everybody worry about election integrity, but it has been gamed for what if scenarios by the Transition Integrity Project (TIP). I know you may have heard me say that we should all just move on and go forward to make the best of this country again. I just want everybody to be aware of the games that could be played since the court challenges have already begun and taken up to the US Supreme Court on what votes can be counted and until when for PA, WI and MI.

Here’s the long version in writing by TIP: it plays out four different scenarios: Ambiguous Result, Clear Biden Victory, Clear Trump Electoral Victory, Narrow Biden Win. Reading these scenarios before the election may be helpful to understand what shows up in the news the next few weeks.

Here’s the Podcast version from Radiolab:

If you haven’t voted yet, make a plan to vote in person early or on Election Day.
